Boone Memorial Hospital, Inc. - Yanik's Newest Client

Yanik was unanimously selected by Boone Memorial Hospital, Inc. (BMH, Inc.), Madison, WV to serve as Owner's Representative and Construction Manager for their replacement Critical Access Hospital. Currently in the schematic design phase, the new proposed 72,568 square foot facility will include 25 patient rooms, lab, pharmacy, rural health clinic expansion, emergency department, a behavioral health unit, an urgent care department, and a rooftop heliport to better serve Madison and the surrounding communities.
Located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, Boone Memorial Hospital opened its doors in 1964. Since that time, they have expanded and added many new services to meet the growing demands of their region. The new facility will enable them to provide modern, state-of-the-art medical care to the citizens of this rural West Virginia community.
Benedictine Senior Living Community of St. Peter Holds Grand Opening

On Friday, October 14, 2011, the Benedictine Senior Living Community of St. Peter, MN held its Grand Opening Ceremony for their new 66,000 square foot Assisted and Independent Living facility. Located on the River's Edge Hospital Campus, the new facility offers residents a variety of services to enhance their quality of life. Congratulations!
River's Edge Hospital & Clinic Named Among Top 100 Hospitals for Patient Experience

Yanik is pleased to congratulate River's Edge Hospital & Clinic on being placed 26 out of 1,400 small hospitals surveyed by WomenCertified, a referral source for top businesses and brands identified among women. River's Edge was further honored by receiving the Women's Choice Award and being one of only ten hospitals in Minnesota to be awarded.
River's Edge is a Healthcare Campus located in St. Peter, Minnesota consisting of a 62,000 square foot Critical Access Hospital, a 25,000 square foot Medical Office Building, a 65,000 square foot Skilled Nursing Facility, and the brand new 66,000 square foot Independent & Assisted Living Community which will hold its grand opening in October. Yanik is proud to have served as Owner's Representative, Construction Manager and Project Manager on these projects.
Corry Memorial Hospital Update

Yanik has signed an agreement with Corry Memorial Hospital in Corry, PA to explore the opportunity of designing and building a new Medical Arts Building on the new Corry Hospital Campus.
On February 1, 2011 Corry Memorial Hospital began construction on their new 72,256 square foot replacement Critical Access Hospital. The hospital project is scheduled to be completed in Summer 2012.
Yanik Creates Third Party Inspection Division

In Spring 2011, Yanik established a new division to provide independent third party inspection services for financial institutions. AgStar and Bremer Bank have hired Yanik for Construction Monitoring for the 68,767 square foot renovation and addition of Riverwood Healthcare Center in Aitkin, Minnesota.
Wells Fargo, along with AgStar, also hired Yanik for Construction Monitoring for Cloquet Memorial Hospital in Cloquet, Minnesota for their 77,255 square foot addition and 25,000 square foot renovation project.
North Sunflower Medical Center Holds Grand Opening

On June 30, 2011, North Sunflower Medical Center in Ruleville, Mississippi held the Grand Opening for their 33,000 square foot expansion, which includes a new surgery center, sleep lab, and the Beacon Wellness Center which has two individual therapy rooms, an indoor and outdoor running track, multi-purpose aerobics area, and two workout areas, which are open to both patients and the community.
This addition to their Critical Access Hospital will help them to better serve the wellness of the residents of Ruleville and the surrounding community. Congratulations!

With over 20 years experience as both a Project Manager and Estimator, Craig's career includes a broad range of construction projects in the healthcare and commercial sectors, allowing him to gain a strong skill set in preliminary design, scheduling, expediting, and developing and implementing problem solving strategies.
Craig's responsibilities at Yanik include overseeing budgets, contracts, schedules, and day-to-day coordination and communication, while facilitating construction activities by initiating and maintaining liaison between clients, architects, and engineers.

Ringgold County Hospital (RCH) featured in U.S. Department of Energy Case Study

The U.S. Department of Energy's Hospital Energy Alliance featured RCH, Mt. Ayr, IA in a Building Envelope Case Study released in September 2010. Their new 62,000 sq. ft. replacement Critical Access Hospital features a high-mass, energy efficient building envelope that was carefully designed with Yanik support.
The building envelope, made up of all areas that interface between a building's interior and exterior, is a major factor in determining how much energy will be needed to heat, cool, and light the building.
The benefits for RCH sited in the study include an annual energy savings of 188,399 kWh of electricity consumption, and 23,060 therms of natural gas consumption. This contributes to the simple pay back period of 2.6 years, as well as a reduced environmental impact. Also, there is improved indoor environmental quality, visual quality, and thermal comfort, which results in an increase in patient and staff comfort and well being.

A formal announcement was made by Corry Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 for securing financing on their new 75,000 square foot replacement hospital. Construction is anticipated to begin late Fall 2010.

Minnesota Department of Health "2010 Rural Health Hero" Award presented to Colleen A. Spike, CEO, River's Edge Hospital & Clinic

Colleen Spike of St. Peter was recognized June 29 at the Minnesota Rural Health Conference in Duluth for her outstanding contributions to rural health care.
Spike received the Minnesota Rural Health Hero award for her role as a champion of small rural hospitals. Under Spike's guidance as Chief Executive Officer, River's Edge Hospital & Clinic grew from a 38-bed facility to a 30-acre health care campus providing care for St. Peter, all of Le Sueur and Nicollet counties and portions of Blue Earth and Sibley counties.
In nominating Spike, Chester Yanik of Yanik Companies said, "Colleen is a true rural health care hero who has worked collaboratively to change the health care landscape in St. Peter and the surrounding area."

This 54,000 sq. ft. facilty will have 46 apartment-style units, underground parking and will be attached to the River's Edge Hospital and Clinic. Congratulations!

William Newton Hospital Renovation Opens!

Winfield, Kansas, and the surrounding community, got their first look at the newly renovated patient wing at William Newton Hospital at the ribbon cutting ceremony on December 4th. This is the first time that State-of-the-Art Wellness Environments has been used in Kansas. Yanik acted as the Design/Builder on this 10,300 square foot second floor renovation. Nineteen rooms, two specialty bariatric rooms, new generator, nurse call, medical gas and medical vacuum system were included in the renovation, as well as a new HVAC system, fire sprinkler system and all new lighting.

Main Street Dental Approves Land Purchase.

On October 23rd, Main Street Dental approved the purchase agreement for 1.49 acres of land in New Prague, MN. This property, located on the East side of New Prague on Alton Avenue and HWY. 19, is to be the location of a new Dental Clinic Office Building. Yanik Companies is the Design/Builder for the new building and would like to congratulate Main Street Dental on the successful approval.
